Mission Support

The church supports mission work in the UK and abroad. At any one time three mission projects are supported and each one is regarded as at least a medium term commitment, e.g. three to five years.

A Church Mission Group advises on and gives support to the mission projects. This includes organising and running events to raise awareness of need and providing opportunities for generating financial support for the three main charitable projects and other appeals as they occur.  The three current projects are The Brickworks, Water Harvest and Winchester Basics Bank.  Links to each of the charities' are below (please click on the relevant logo), together with other information such as updates and the dates of forthcoming events which you might like to attend.

The Brickworks October 2020 AGM Update

The Mission Group runs a monthly coffee morning, Café Wesley, which raises funds for a variety of causes, including other charities and some Church activities. The coffee mornings are usually held on the third Saturday of every month except December at 10:00 a.m.

Unfortunately at present all of our events have been cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, but we will resume activities as soon as we are able.

In the meantime if you would like to make a donation to one or all three of our main charities please send cash or a cheque made payable to Wesley Methodist Church to:
Richard Rogers, c/o Wesley Methodist Church, Fromond Road, Winchester, SO22 6EG.
Unless you specify otherwise  we will split donations equally between the charities.

Thank you.
