Welcome to our website, on which we aim to tell you about our church and community here in Winchester. Please read and enjoy our pages.
Our church has its foundation in the Methodist traditions and is one of sixteen churches in the Winchester Eastleigh and Romsey Circuit.
However, we have strong ecumenical links with the other churches serving the northern part of Winchester and seek to serve the whole community in which we are located.
We seek to be a loving, serving, worshipping and witnessing community of Christians. We believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and recognise both the work and the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
|Our Mission and Our Vision
Our mission is:
Loving God, Loving Others, Loving the World.
Our vision is:
A thriving church, an asset to the community, a sign of hope for all.
Current Long-term Projects
The church is pursuing an inspirational five year plan which supports its mission objectives and builds on existing work to enhance its offerings to the local community. The principal projects include:
- Identifying, researching and discovering unmet local need.
- Developing our ability to share our faith with those who haven't heard.
- Improving the prayer life of the church.
- Nurturing, promoting and supporting small hospitable groups of people who will explore things of faith and grow spitiually.
- Ensuring that the church building is improved to support the above plans.
After a period of almost six months when it has not been possible to open the church for worship because of the restrictions imposed for protection from Covid-19 the church will be open from Sunday, 6th September. Initially and for the months of September, October and November there will be one service per week on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. There wil be no evening services in these months. Basic details of the morning services can be found in the Calendar on this website. However until the restrictions due to Covid-19 are relaxed or removed 'church' will not be the same as before the lock-down. Details of how it will be different can be found on the Information Page.
The followng church groups are making plans for returning to normal activities but they will each need to work out what is both safe and permitted before doing so. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.

Since 8th June the Triangle Pre-School has been operating in the Wesley building in order to serve the needs of key workers in the community. The numbers of children have been limited and many controls are in place to safeguard both staff and children from the Coronavirus. From September numbers will return to something resembling normal. Only part of the building is accessible to the Pre-school and only the remainder of the building will be available for use by the church.
