Welcome to our website, on which we aim to tell you about our church and community here in Winchester. Please read and enjoy our pages.
Our church has its foundation in the Methodist traditions and is one of ten churches in the Winchester and Eastleigh Circuit.
However, we have strong ecumenical links with the other churches serving the northern part of Winchester and seek to serve the whole community in which we are located.
We seek to be a loving, serving, worshipping and witnessing community of Christians. We believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and recognise both the work and the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
|Our Mission and Our Vision
Our mission is:
Loving God, Loving Others, Loving the World.
Our vision is:
A thriving church, an asset to the community, a sign of hope for all.
Current Long-term Projects
The church is pursuing an inspirational five year plan which supports its mission objectives and builds on existing work to enhance its offerings to the local community. The principal projects include:
- Identifying, researching and discovering unmet local need.
- Developing our ability to share our faith with those who haven't heard.
- Improving the prayer life of the church.
- Nurturing, promoting and supporting small hospitable groups of people who will explore things of faith and grow spitiually.
- Ensuring that the church building is improved to support the above plans.
All services, activities and meetings have been cancelled for the time being. This includes:
Mini Marvels Toddler Group, Friday Fun Club, Feel Good Friday
Lego Church, Together Thursday, Meeting Point, Housegroup
Church Council and Leadership Team meetings
The Pastoral Visitor Team are keeping in touch with members of the Wesley Community to ensure that their needs are understood.
Note: Since 8th June the Triangle Pre-School has been operating in the Wesley building. The numbers of children are limited and many controls are in place to safeguard both staff and children from the Coronavirus. Only part of the building is accessible to the Pre-school and the remainder of the building remains closed to everybody except for three people who are maintaining a weekly check on the building. Access for others, including keyholders, is not permitted.
